Time-delay Estimation Under Impulse Noise Environment

A new method of time-delay estimation based on the statistical distribution pattern of noise under the complicated room acoustic environment including most of the impulse noise is proposed. The method of time-delay estimation is selected according to the two-order or low-order covariance. For the impulse noise, the time-delay can be estimated by computing the FLOC(Fractional Low-Order Covariance). The results show that the method takes on the high performance with the strong anti-reverberant and anti-noise, and is suitable for the speech source location in room.
