The Communication Protocol of PROFIBUS-FMS

This paper introduces the structure of the communication protocol of PROFIBUS-FMS which includes the data transfer technology of the physical layer,the message format of the data link layer,the FMS service of the application layer and the FMS profile of the user interface.The distribution of the fieldbus is also discussed.A method for developing FMS intelligent slaves by using the protocol chip SPC4 is proposed.
