A coarse frequency offset estimation algorithm for the DMB-TH system

For the problems of large amount of computation and low speed of frequency offset estimation that exists in the new generation digital terrestrial television broadcasting transmission system DTMB,this paper presents an improved coarse frequency offset estimation algorithm,in which header position coarse estimation is done first,and then use frequency scan method which uses sliding correlation between the local zero-phase PN sequence with frequency offset and received sequence.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that this algorithm can estimate the coarse frequency offset faster than other algorithms in the Gaussian and multi-path channel.
