Evaluation of map quality for national western surveying and mapping project based on cloud model and rough set was conducted using entity-based quality inspection method.At first,digital linear graphics quality model was constructed by analyzing western area characteristic,the quality element and sub-element were summarized.Then,spatial operator was summarized to form inspection rule.Finally,the weight of each index was calculated according to importance of attribute in rough set.Cloud decision generator transformed indexes value into qualitative evaluation.Software for quality inspection and evaluation was developed.Test indicated that the inspection and evaluation method is feasible and software has higher automation and interaction.
