The matching circuit designed by the traditional load matching method has a deficiency that the rising rate of pulse voltage decreases evidently with pulse voltage applied to capacitive load.In order to overcome this deficiency and improve the application effect of pulse power supply while capacitive load is used,a method is put forward in which the frequency response analysis(FRA) is used to design the matching circuit between pulse power supply and capacitive load.Based on this method,a matching circuit which consists of induced(L_m) branch circuit and a branch circuit of a capacitance in series with a resistance(R_m-C_m) is designed. The two branch circuits are in parallel. When L_m,R_m and C_msatisfy the frequency response characteristics of u_2/u_1(where u_1 is the output pulse voltage of pulse power supply, and u_2 is the pulse voltage of capacitive load),and on the condition that the response characteristic has no distortion in the range of the effective spectrum of the output pulse voltage, pulse voltage without oscillation and with fast rising rate can be obtained. The experimental results show that the matching circuit is effective.
