Preparation of high durable archival paper with cotton and dissolving pulp

The archival papers have high durability and high service life.They were prepared by adding cotton pulp and dissolving pulp with softwood pulp as raw materials,calcium carbonate as filler,AKD as sizing agent.Effect of cotton pulp and dissolving pulp composed with softwood pulp on paper properties were discussed.The results show that cotton pulp and dissolving pulp can highly improve the durability of archival paper.The physical properties of archival paper will be accordance with the state standards,when dissolving pulp is added 15%,with the archival paper having the physical properties of tearing strength 1202Nm,folding endurance 960 times,pH 8.5 and alkali retention 1.13 mol/kg.
