Detection of high-speed anti-radiation missiles

A practical detecting method is presented according to the features of highspeed ARM (AntiRadiation Missile) and the characteristics of distance, velocity and acceleration involved in echo waves. The method adopts a special antenna construction and is developed on the basis of the resonant effect of meterwave bands, which makes RCS increase remarkably. Then the processing of longtime coherent integration is used to obtain the information of velocity and acceleration, which in turn accomplishes the recognition of ARM. The system boasts the merits of simplicity, low cost and small size. Experimental results are given to show the validity of the method.
