Adaptive PUSH+PULL algorithms of data access in mobile database

In mobile computing environment, Data broadcast can only support access to hot data with common interest, while traditional online request method can support access to any data on the server. Therefore , the paper presents a mixed data access algorithm, called Adaptive PUSH+PULL algorithm, which combine the data broadcast method(PUSH) and the online request method(PULL),in order to make mobile database support general data applications. The algorithm has more extensive applied scope than pure PUSH、PUSH or PUSH+PULL method. It not only enable mobile users access any data in time, but also utilize the inherent broadcast ability of wireless communication network, which improves the scalability of the mobile database system.
