This paper introduces the theory of the digital satellite broadcasting television system and the process of dealing with the signal before transmitting.It expounds the principle of the DVB-S receiver.And it presents the characters and the structure of ST5105 which could decode the signal by the MPEG-2 technology.Finally this paper gives the design and implementation of DVB-S receiver based on ST5105.
