To resolve the disadvantages of fourth order cumulate algorithms for direction finding of coherent sources,a generalized data model is constructed based on generalized steering vectors and steering matrix. And a generalized weighted signal subspace fitting(GWSSF)algorithm is proposed for direction finding. The proposed GWSSF algorithm may estimate coherent sources without using more sensors and can be applied to arbitrary array.Based on the cultural algorithm and the quantum genetic algorithm,a cultural quantum(CQ)algorithm is proposed for fitting the cost function of GWSSF.In CQ,the mechanism of quantum operator is involved into cultural algorithm, and it can resolve real value optimization problem with high efficient.Monte-Carlo simulations proved that the proposed algorithm can not only find the directions of coherent sources by the algorithms based on fourth order cumulates, but is also superior to the previous algorithms in performance.
