Research of OMR Based on Image Recognition

This paper discussed recognition algorithms for analyzing document image of information card based on optical mark recognition, and proposed a new information card fill-in method. The common methods of character recognition and feature extraction were also described, and, according to practical situation, a template matching algorithm based on the minimum distance classifier was adapted to recognize handwritten symbols. The result showed that these methods could meet the need of handwritten symbols recognition.
