Practice in Database Upgrade From 8i to 11g of Hospital Information System

Objective To effectively improve service performance by upgrading database of HIS from 8i to 11g.Methods Export and import tools offered by Qracle were used in upgrade which involved software and hardware options,application testing,database parameters setting,etc.Results Problems may be encountered in upgrade were discussed in detail.Conclusion The database performs well and achieves the intended purpose.
