Image encryption scheme based on hyperchaos system

MO Li-li · Journal of Central South University(Science and Technology) · 2009

A novel image encryption scheme based on a four dimensional hyperchaos Chen system was presented. Firstly, the chaotic sequences were generated and preprocessed based on the hyperchaotic system. Secondly, two preprocessed chaotic sequences were employed to shuffle the positions of image pixels. Finally, the chaotic sequences were chosen according to the grey values of the pixels to confuse the relationship between the cipher-image and the plain-image. Simulation results and security analysis results demonstrate that the suggested encryption algorithm of image has the advantages of large key space, high security and good effect. The choice of chaotic sequence depends on the plaintext sensitively that enhances the ability of resisting the chosen plaintext attack, and the distribution of grey values of the encrypted image has a random-like behavior.
