Path summaries are good pattern matching pattern for semistructured and XML query processing, they tend to have high memory needs and are blocking. Path partitioning algorithm based on path summary of XML document adopt physical operator speci? cally suited to the path-partitioned model, which is pipelined and thus eliminates these drawbacks.
