Deficiency, Redundancy, Vagueness in Information Transmission: On translating and writing English & Chinese abstracts for a paper in science and technology

Three major problems, i.e. deficiency, redundancy, vagueness in information transmission, are found out in some Chinese English abstracts published in Chinese journals of science and technology. The sources of these three problems and how to avoid them are analyzed by six examples.
