Problems Identified in Fuzzy Rhetoric Research

Research on fuzzy rhetoric has a history of over 30 years in mainland China.Researchers have been exploring the concept,forms,application and function of fuzzy rhetoric.However,there are some apparent problems existing in process of the research;for example,a consensus on the definition and scope of fuzzy rhetoric has not been reached,the distinction between fuzzy rhetoric and pragmatic fuzziness is not clear,the Cognitive Motivation for the generation of fuzzy rhetoric needs further exploration and comparative research on the Chinese and English fuzzy rhetoric is inadequate.Therefore,we need to identify the causes of these problems and put forward corresponding solutions.
