Research and simulation of unstructured peer-to-peer models

Gnutella is a typical model of unstructured P2P model,and Freenet is a typical system of P2P storage system.This paper analyzes and studies them in three aspects: files storage,search file,and user information anonymity.OMNeT++ is a new simulation tool which refers to distributed network systems.The paper simulates Gnutella and Freenet in search reply time,search success rate,and search return number.The simulation results show that OMNeT++ can accurately analyze P2P network property and behavior.
