Optimization of EBCOT algorithm in JPEG2000

JPEG2000 is a new still image compression standard appointed by ISO.It is provided with excellent performance and higher flexibility.Tier-1 of the EBCOT consumes most of the computation time in JPEG2000 encoding system.In order to enhance coding efficiency,an optimization scheme was proposed based on EBCOT algorithm.It improves the coding speed greatly and strengthens the real-time implementation.
