Topology Update Strategy Based on Web and SNMP

Aiming at the problems of topology discovery inaccurate and topology display not timely in Network Management System(NMS),a kind of three-level network topology discovery method based on the SNMP agents is studied.The strategy of many kinds of ways,discover is presented to ensure equipment discovery accurately and efficiently.A kind of service procedure of background scanning is designed to realize the real-time updates.A model of network topology display based on SVG technology is presented to display changing topology real-timely.Experimental results show that the NMS adopting the above data update strategy can meet the requirements in the accuracy of topology discovery and real-time of topology display.
