Optimization of cefoselis sulfate synthesis

Objective: To synthesize cefoselis sulfate. Methods: Starting from benzhydryl 7β-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-3-chloromethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylate, cefoselis sulfate was obtained via several chemical steps including condensation,elimination and acetification in aqueous solvent. Results: The total yield of the target compound was 18.8%.Conclusion:Compared with the current procedure, the synthetic steps were simplified and might offer a low cost manufacturing procedure.
