Improvement and DSP Implementation of G.729 Algorithm for Wireless Voice Communication

In wireless voice communication systems,for the fading characteristics in the open area,the transmission of voice signals in the space receives much disturbance.Aiming at the characteristics of wireless voice communication system,an improved algorithm based on G.729 voice coding is proposed in this paper.This algorithm simplifies the codebook searching and improves the efficiency of the program.As compared with the original algorithm,this algrithm is low in computational complexity and processing delay,thus suitable for wireless voice transmission.The DSP hardware simulation and the human auditory indicate that the quality of synthetic voice could achieve ideal result while the computational complexity declines substantially.
