Application example of Packet Assembler /Disassembler

X. 25 protocol is applied widely in many fields. To let the great number of character terminals connect to the network of X. 25, we should set the packet assembler/disassembler (PAD) between character terminal and X. 25 packet network, The packet assembler/disassembler (PAD) consist of three protocols: X. 28, X. 29 and X. 3, and we introduce their contents, functions and relations in this paper. Finally, a practical example of PAD applied to the network monitor system basing on the satellite communication system is given.
