Improved Algorithms of Fuzzy C-Means Clustering for Gas Logging Data Interpretation

An improved Fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is introduced in this paper and it is used on gas logging data interpretation.First the sample is achieved based on gas logging information.Then the algorithm uses the cluster centers obtained by applying modified maximum algorithm as the initial cluster centers of FCM algorithm to get the standard models of all kinds of the beds.Finally the beds are classified based on the minimum distance rule.The results show that this method is simple and is highly accurate and more stable than the standard FCM.
