Study on the Cutting Age of Chinese Fir Plantation in the Southern Area of Henan Province

Chinese fir plantation standard plots and managing economic indexes of different site index in the southern area of He'nan were investigated.Classic equation such as Richards equation was fitted into the fundamental model for Chinese fir growth.Growth process table was compiled.Quantitive maturity age and technical maturity age were determinated.Net present value and internal benefit rate were used to analyse economical maturity age.Considering all maturity age including number maturity age,technological maturity age and economic maturity age,the results showed that it wasn't adapt to plant Chinese fir timber in the southern area of Henan Province under cite index 8.It was only cultivating small diameter log that the cutting age was 22～24 a in cite index 10;The cutting age was 20 a when it was cultivating small diameter log as the main and the cutting age was 22 a when it was cultivating mid-diameter log as the assistance;The cutting age is 20 a when it was cultivating mid-diameter log as the main in cite index 14.
