Design and Application of the Wide-Band Frequency Agile Synthesizer Based on DDS

The design of the wide-band frequency agile synthesizer based on DDS is introduced in the paper.Through deeply analysis on the spurious generating mechanism of DDS and the modeling in ADS,from 1 024 MHz clock is selected to be the reference clock.After the multiplication frequency,comb generating and frequency mixing of the DDS signal from 75 to 150 MHz,the RF baseband signal in 1 250~2 500 MHz is generated.Under the presupposition guaranteeing the spurious of 60 dBc,the available frequency of DDS is extended to maximum.Then,the RF baseband signal is expanded in 10 000~20 000 MHz through 3 times of frequency multiplication and is combined in 75~20 000 MHz.The AWG function is implemented by the digital modulation method based on DDS.The application of wide-band frequency agile synthesizer is expanded.It has good application prospects in the field of electronic warfare.
