A New IFF Method Based on Markov Identification
Yin Chua · Telecommunication Engineering · 2013
According to the secrecy requirement of IFF( Identification between Friend or Foe) system in modern wars,a new IFF method based on Markov system identification technique is proposed. In accordance with certain transition matrix distributed by the system, each transmitter launches random code. With the prior information of transfer matrices, the receiver identifies the units according to the code sequences via the Markov system identification technique. Compared with the traditional methods, this method transmits codes obeying Markov distribution randomly at each time, which can greatly improve the intercept and deciphers difficulty, and increase the system's robustness. Simulation result shows that given a relatively long sequence, this method can accurately identify different codes.
