With the development of informational process,it is necessary for more and more applications to visit heterogeneous data sources.Analyses the support and integration of XML within ADO.NET.Then according to the characteristics of XML in terms of data transmission and the advantages of ADO.NET in respect of data access to different sources,describe a method to achieve the exchange of heterogeneous data sources,in which the XML is used to be the data medium,so as to meet the increasing demand.
