Evaluation of Mean-shift Algorithm for SAR Image Speckle Reduction

Speckle reduction is a key procedure in SAR image application,it is important to the interpretation and auto-processing of SAR images.In this paper,we introduced the mean-shift algorithm into SAR image speckle reduction procedures,the experiment results showed that,the proposed method can effectively reduce the speckle level,and at the same time reserve the edge information well.Processing result is better than other methods in FI and ESI,especially the ESI.Our proposed method has a great practical value.
