Fuzzy Torgerson Multidimensional Scaling

LU Zhen-wei · Journal of Taiyuan University · 2010

Multidimensional Scaling is one of the techniques in common use for data mining. This technique can use the comparatively simple distances between points to express the complicated relations between pairs of objects. Now it has been widely used in many such fields as psychology, geology, environment analysis and knowledge structure analysis which can hardly get accurate quantitative data. This article puts forward the concept of dissimilarity measurement and applies it in the classical Torgerson multidimensional scaling as a dissimilarity measurement.
