Optimization and Analysis of Differential Coherent Post Detection Integration Method for PN Code Signal Detecting

Feixue Wang · Journal of Astronautics · 2011

The differential coherent post detection integration is a new method for pseudo-random noise(PN) code signal detecting proposed in recent years, and the theoretical model of the false alarm probability for this method is available, but the detection probability is hard to derive.Different theoretical approximations are used to get the detection probability in many references, but those results cannot be adopted to optimize the parameters since the approximation error is large. In this paper both theoretical model and numberical simulation are combined to analyze the detection performance, and the optimization of coherent integration time based on the minimize of detecting loss is researched.Furthermore the optimal performance comparison between differential coherent detection method and non-coherent detection method is carried out,and the results show that the former is better than the latter.
