The study of Agent-oriented software engineering is one of the most important issues in the field of software engineering.It acquires highly attention and concern in the field of academics and industry,and the study concerned is widely and quickly developed.The emerge and background of Agent-oriented software engineering are illustrated from two aspects: the necessity of the application of Agent-oriented software engineering and its technical development.This paper presents the content of Agent-oriented software engineering research from the aspects of its technology,development and tools.The present situation of Agent-oriented software engineering is analyzed.The prospect of its application and its challenge are discussed so as for its further study.
