Selecting Method on Optimal Combination of Characters in Intrusion Detection System

In order to improve the reality,usability and whole performance of network Intrusion Detection System(IDS),this paper presents the approach in which an optimal combination of k(nk) characters used to classification of IDS is selected from n characters,which is based on genetic algorithms.The optimal set of characters is best for recognizing intruder,which makes classification evaluation target J to achieve maximum.Tests show that this method and IDS(neural network) are useful and available,so as to improve the whole performance of IDS.
