Research on sensor conceptual design based on knowledge

An intelligent heuristic system for conceptual sensor design based on knowledge was proposed through taking sensor effect as knowledge and knowledge engineering as its method.The system was developed in the VB.NET environment,the inference engine algorithm was designed with Visual Prolog 6,and the effect knowledge base and databases were constructed with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.The developed expert system of conceptual sensor design is found to provide satisfactory heuristic design knowledge for the conceptual designer.But the system still needs constant improvement.Concept designers can use their own experience and knowledge and the inference mechanism that the system offers to reconstitute the existing sensor effects in a totally new way in order to find new effects and their applications,and design an innovative sensor.
