Design and implementation of PAAS model—oriented CSCL system

As a new technology, cloud computing can achieve mass data speed processing and information security storage. The development of cloud computing provides new ideas and new methods for the CSCL system construction. This paper proposes a PAAS model, oriented CSCL system with low development costs and maintenance costs. The system is built upon Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform, uses the SQL Azure database as the data storage management. A number of technologies adopted in the system, including heterogeneous-group technology, collaborative workflow technology, and so on. It is a useful exploration that CSCL system is constructed with the cloud computing technology. Trial operation shows that system can support collabora-tive-learning effectively.
