Contrastive Study on Evaluation Methods of Bracing Structure Stability for Foundation Pit
Yin Liao · Science Technology and Engineering · 2014
The complexity of geological conditions and heterogeneity of the geotechnical materials makes the geotechnical engineering themselves have intense uncertainty of randomness and fuzziness. Using the traditional design method of the safety coefficient method to evaluate the stability of foundation pit existing inevitable defects, the uncertain analysis is introduced to study the problem of stability of foundation pit engineering is a kind of inexorable trend. The structural reliability theory could reflect the safety status objectively since the parameters' random characteristics are involved in. Furthermore, the random and fuzzy uncertainties are all took into account in the fuzzyrandom reliability theory, therefore it could reflect the structure's safety status scientifically and overall. According to the study of a certain engineering example of soil nailed bracing structure for foundation pit, some relating results are calculated by the safety coefficient method, the structural reliability theory and the fuzzy-random reliability theory, the inherent relationship between the three evaluation methods are revealed, some relevant laws are summarized, and these conclusions could provide some theoretical references for similar engineering practice.
