The method is brought forward based on the video grid of two and three layers architecture, that a part of client computers with high performance will become of temporary video servers,to provide video services to other users, while the occupied network bandwidth of a local video server reaches the threshold. The payload of the local video server will be lessened, and the original video grid architecture will be expanded as the video grid of multilevel architecture. The design thought and process model of this multilevel video grid based on data stream control is discussed in detail. The strategy of service transfer is mentioned when a temporary video server failed randomly. The simulation result produced by the VGSim,a simulator of video grid, shows that the service capacity of multilevel video grid is enhanced effectively.
