Research and Development of Yellow River Water Environment Geographic Information System

Yellow River Water Environment Geographic Information System (HPGIS) is the part of the Digital Yellow River.First,the back-ground,purpose and the main functions of the HPGIS are introduced and, then, the software development, high level designing, the structure of the HPGIS application, the relationship between the subsystems, and the interface of the Yellow River Water Management Information System (HPMIS) are described in detail.Many new GIS technologies are used in the system,such as internet geographic information system (WEBGIS) technology, virtual reality (VR) technology, and advanced analysis technology.
