TCP Performance in Ad hoc Wireless Networks
Jinpeng Li · Jisuanji gongcheng · 2003
Ad hoc networks are completely wireless networks of mobile hosts, in which the topology rapidly changes due to the movement of mobile hosts. TCP may misinterpret the packet loss resulting from the topology changes as congestion and invoke congestion control, leading to loss of throughput. A feedback scheme and explicit notification can overcome efficiently this problem. Study and comparisons of several proposed schemes are conducted.
