Research on Iris Location Technique Based on Gray Gradient

Iris recognition is a technique of high confidence and great potential for personal identification verification. This paper introduces an approach for locating an iris using integrodifferential operators based on the circular geometry of the iris. Tests are carried out on real eye images and the results indicate that this method is very effective and accurate in locating the inner and outer boundary of an iris.
