On the Integration Trend of GPU+CPU

When CPU and GPU,two complementary parts in the PC technology field,met with bottlenecks in their respective development,combination may be a wise solution. So the integration of CPU and GPU has been focused on for a long time. NVIDIA introduced Tesla,general-purpose GPU computing architecture,the ultimate aim being to combine CPU and GPU. However,NVIDIA encountered difficulties on the road to integration owing to the lack of CPU RD history. On the other hand,AMD plans to develop Fusion processor with GPU in-built as a core. Yet it is sure to meet face to face with the Nehalem processor from Intel. All these acts from computer giants seem to indicate the processor will fully move into a integrated GPU ear.
