An Improved Fast Search Algorithm of Motion Estimation

Motion estimation is one of the key technologies in inner-frame estimation encoding of video compression. In all kinds of compression standard, motion estimation based on block is used widely. But motion estimation often takes long time, so it influences compression performance bigly. The characteristics of video sequence and the existing fast search algorithms are analyzed, and then an improved fast search algorithm is brought forward. Experimental results show that this algorithm improves the compression performance.
