Research on the Allocation of Single-Actor Tasks in Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks
Dou Wen-hua · Computer Engineering and Science · 2008
Wireless sensor and actor networks(WSANs)are composed of a large number of sensors and a small number of(mobile)resource-rich actors.Sensors gather information about the physical phenomenon while actors make decisions, and then perform appropriate actions upon the environment. The paper studies the allocation of single-actor tasks in WSANs,and proposes two algorithms:a centralized and a distributed algorithm. Finally the algorithms are evaluated in J-SIM.
