BP Network Prediction Model and Its Application in Annual Runoff Forecasting Based on Wavelet Analysis

In view of the difference between scale coefficient series and wavelet coefficient series,a new way of combination of wavelet analysis and BP network is proposed in this paper.Two BP networks are established to predict two types of coefficient series.And then the predicted value of wavelet coefficients is reconstructed to obtain the predicted value of the original sequence.Finally,the model is applied to forecast annual runoff of a hydropower station.The results show that the model has high prediction accuracy,which can provide reliable annual runoff for hydropower station.
