Study on LDPC Decoding Failure and Anti-error-burst Performance

The basic theory about LDPC code is introduced in this paper.Decoding failure and decoding times in the decoding progress is analyzed by computer simulation,and an improved decoding method applied to channels with strong bursting jam is presented.The improved method discards the initial decoding information corresponding to the element position with strong jam so as to avoid the wrong information participating in the iterative decoding.The computer simulation result shows that the improved method is better than original BP algorithm when strong jam exists.
