Classification is one of the most important techniques in data mining. The paper illustrates the ID3 and C4.5 algorithm of decision tree .The process of constructing weather assessment model with the algorithm of decision tree is discussed and the model is put into practice for weather assessment .At the same time the paper points out the lack of decision tree and some un-solved problems。
