Research on Independent Component Analysis and its Applications

Independent component analysis(ICA) is a research focus in the signal processing field. With the method of ICA, the source signals which are statistical independence and non-gaussian can be separated from the mixed-signals. In this paper, the mathematical model and assumed conditions, solution methods of ICA are introduced. Then the applications of ICA in speech signal processing, feature extraction, biomedical signal processing and other fields are analyzed, and finally the development and further research directions of ICA are pointed out.
