A relay transmission strategy with source-assisted distributed space-time codes

In order to improve the system performance and to decrease the bit error rate(ber) of the cooperative network,a source-assisted(SA) distributed transmission strategy is proposed.The application of this strategy to distributed orthogonal and quasi-orthogonal space-time codes is discussed.This strategy demands the destination node to receive signals in both time-slots of the relay transmission in order to make full use of the direct link between the source node and the destination node.Theoretical analysis and computer simulations show that the proposed SA strategy is effective.
