Optimized LDPC decoder based on modified min-sum algorithm

In this paper,a modified min-sum algorithm based LDPC decoder is optimized.It analyzes the variation of quantization error during the decoding process and proposes architecture of the optimized decoder.The simulations on a length 504,rate 1/2 LDPC code show that when compared with the old architecture the optimized one can save about 0.05dB of SNR under the same BER rate and about 3% of average successful decoding iterations under the same SNR rate.
