Process and Application of GPS Signal in Embedded GIS

Embedded GIS is the application of GIS on embedded devices such as PoketPC, PDA etc. Embedded devices is small and portable, combined with the function of GPS position, GPS make the application of embedded GIS in many fields such as tour , navigation, data collection more and more extensive. This article chiefly introduced how to receive GPS signal and how to process GPS data, in which, some serial port program knowledge is involved. In the procedure of process GPS data, NMEA-0813 data format is introduced, which is the most common GPS data format.
