Under the application background of wireless sensor network(WSN) in building, according to the characteristics of fixed node position and controllable topology in wireless data transmission network in building energy consumption monitoring system, the whole network is divided into some sub-networks based on zone information when the node scale is large. The network communication overhead is reduced by limiting the range of node communication area and a three-tier architectural model of WSN is formed.High-level network consists of BS node which is used for managing the whole network. The second layer contains nodes called zone nodes which are in a vertical direction with BS node. The bottom layer is formed by a set of nodes called terminal nodes which are laid in the corridor. And the data gathering routing strategy is designed, which is appropriate for this model.By this way,it can ensure that the cluster head node can select the best next hop router node from the neighbor list, and achieve data communication with the BS node. The data transmission with high reliability, low delay, energy saving and convergence is realized.
